AMY D’AGATA
PHD, RN
Amy D’Agata, PhD, RN is an academic nurse scientist at the University of Rhode Island, with a passion for advancing health and wellness. As a nurse and educator, she is keenly attuned to supporting mental health, creating meaningful relationships, and helping to build resiliency. She currently leads an NIH funded study investigating the physical, psychological, and social outcomes of adults born preterm. She holds a BS from the University of Saint Joseph, MS and PhD from the University of Connecticut, and a postdoctoral fellowship from the University of South Florida. To further her expertise, outreach, and service, Amy is currently pursuing certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
